Gua Sha
A scraping technique using smooth tools to promote circulation.
Gua sha involves using a smooth-edged tool (traditionally jade or horn, now often rose quartz or stainless steel) to scrape the skin with firm strokes, promoting circulation and lymphatic drainage. Used in both Traditional Chinese Medicine and modern facial treatments, gua sha can reduce inflammation, relieve muscle tension, and improve skin tone.
