Nuru (meaning 'slippery' in Japanese) is a specialized massage modality originating from Kawasaki, Japan. The technique uses a natural gel derived from nori seaweed, applied warm to both client and practitioner, enabling continuous full-body sliding movements. This approach stimulates more nerve endings than traditional massage, promoting deep relaxation, stress reduction, and skin hydration through the gel's mineral content.
